At Barfoed Group’s headquarters in Odense, the reception and meeting facilities have been carefully renovated with respect for the building’s existing architecture and materiality.
Lighting has been incorporated as an integral part of the interior design, where functional light and decorative fixtures create a welcoming atmosphere. The LP Grand (Ø580) in a champagne finish is used as part of the general lighting scheme; its soft, pleasant glow contributes to bright and inviting spaces.
The PH Artichoke—featured in various materials—serves as a striking design element across the different settings. The fixture’s sculptural form adds character to the rooms while casting a pleasant, atmospheric light over the meeting and lounge areas.
The Flindt wall lamp is used to highlight the walls and provide indirect lighting. In coffee stations and other lounge zones, it also serves to set the mood. In corner areas, the Wohlert Pendant (Ø300 and Ø350) provides a warm, subdued light that fosters a sense of intimacy and supports smaller seating and conversation areas. Its simple, timeless design also adds an elegant visual element to the interior.
The result is a holistic lighting scheme where function, atmosphere, and design go hand in hand, complementing both the building’s architecture and the people who use the spaces.
